Thank you for your interest in participating in the Michigan Meetings Expo. Our intention is to provide a day of business exchange with meeting planners in markets including corporate, association and government. In years past we’ve welcomed between 70 and 100 meeting planners. We look forward to providing you the opportunity to network, share ideas and open the door to new business opportunities with Michigan-based planners.
(Each exhibitor must register individually.)
Your exhibit space will include:
- A six-foot table in a fully carpeted room
- Ability to bring a banner stand or display
- 1.5 hours of conflict-free exhibit time
- A qualified audience of planners
- Attendee information and planner profiles
- Two (2) complimentary exhibitor badges
- Listing on the Michigan Meetings Expo landing page
- Complimentary lunch with the planners
Passports and RFPs
We understand that time with every planner is important, so we have devised a passport system that helps ensure each planner visits your booth. In addition to the passports, planners that bring their RFPs will participate in the prize drawing at the end of the day.
Planner Contact Information
Following the show you will receive contact information for each planner, as well as a “planner profile” that details the types of annual/signature events each attendee manages.
The cost to exhibit is $850. Suppliers must be paid exhibitors to participate in the Expo and educational sessions. You will receive an invoice for payment (via email) shortly after registering for the show. Exhibitor balances must be paid prior to the show date.
Each exhibitor is encouraged to bring a prize donation (e.g., complimentary overnight or gift card). This year, planners are encouraged to bring at least one RFP for an upcoming meeting or event for a chance to be entered in the prize drawing.
There are many sponsorship opportunities available for this event, including in-kind donations. All sponsors will receive preferred booth placement. For details, contact Kim Corcoran, CMP – Kim@destinationmi.com
In addition to our marketing efforts, we encourage you to invite your clients to register for this event. Your meeting planner colleagues will thank you for inviting them to this complimentary program!
We are encouraging all exhibitors to feature a unique venue in their booth. For a hotel, this can be a space within your property that you feel is a creative way for planners to use your venue. For a CVB, this can be a unique venue within your destination that you would like to highlight.
